A Sachtleben titanium dioxide speciality guarantees clarity on beer labels
Wet paper quickly becomes translucent. A simple fact, which could nonetheless be a serious problem in label papers. This is the reason many of these papers contain special Sachtleben titanium dioxide particles. As we all know, well cooled beverages in beer, wine and champagne bottles very quickly attract condensation, particularly in summer. Without titanium dioxide, which assures wet opacity, the labels would scarcely be legible.

No "hard cases", just soft pigments
Particularly in the production of raw stock for embossed wallpapers, the use of "hard" titanium dioxide pigment grades causes rapid and extremely costly machine and tool wear. Sachtolith, a pure zinc sulfide white pigment, makes it possible right now to put the brake on these costs quickly and effectively.

Top purity criteria for pharmaceuticals safety
Sachtleben's titanium dioxide production meets demanding international pharmaceuticals quality standards
In the pharmaceuticals industry, even excipients (non-active ingredients) are subject to exceptionally high quality standards - standards which can be met on a permanent basis only by comprehensive technical, logistical and organizational provisions. Sachtleben has already mastered this challenge. As from March 1, 2007, pharmaceuticals-grade titanium dioxide production at Duisburg, Germany, will also fulfill the demanding quality criteria of the international GMP ("Good Manufacturing Practice for manufacturers of excipients") code.

King Nai Agyemang Wyettey Otabi III attends official reception for Sachtleben creativity stars
Eight years of Hollywood-style bronze-star honours for Sachtleben's innovative staff
One of Sachtleben's prime corporate objectives is employee-assisted continuous improvement. Diversity of ideas, combined with creativity and focused on an active internal suggestion scheme (ISS), therefore have a long history at Sachtleben. In the past trading year, the company's around 1300 staff submitted more than 2800 suggestions in the context of improvement activities for the company, just on half of them being implemented without further formality. The improvements achieved enabled Sachtleben to make net saving of 665,000 Euro this year, set against 150,000 Euro paid out in awards for the suggestions received. So it's only natural that the staff with the greatest flair and inventiveness should be rewarded, at an appropriate celebration, with a bronze star cast by the hand of an artist.
